Batman: Arkham Knight should be re-releasing on PC soon

While Warner Bros. Interactive didn’t exactly send a big press release out, we now have a proper time frame on when gamers can expect to see Batman: Arkham Knight available for purchase again on PC.

In the boilerplate text of the  announcement for the Tumbler and Arkham Asylum skins DLC, Warner Bros. Interactive included the following:

Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and is available now for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. The PC version of the game will be available in the coming weeks.

As a console title, Batman: Arkham Knight was received very positively. As a PC game, it was a completely different story. The game was so broken at launch that Warner Bros. suspended the game’s sales until Rocksteady could get things fixed. Since then, we’ve seen other publishers reexamine their PC games. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate hits PC a full month later than the console versions, while Need for Speed might hit PC as much as six months after its November release date. In that way, it’s not such a bad thing, if it keeps other publishers from making the same mistake, but it’s still unforgivable, and it remains to be seen if the game still has any legs left on PC.
