When The Walking Dead returns next month, a major new character from the comic universe will be introduced. Hollywood Reporter says that British actor Tom Payne will appear in season 6 as Paul Monroe. Or, as most people know him, Jesus.

Jesus was introduced well into the comic run of The Walking Dead—issue 91 to be more precise—and became a key character in Alexandria after moving from another community known as Hilltop Colony. Fans of the comics love him for his level head and combat abilities. Without spoiling anything, with Jesus confirmed to appear in season 6, you can bet that both Negan and Lucille aren’t far behind.

Negan is one of The Walking Dead’s worst villains, and is so ruthless and unhinged that he makes the Governor look like the Pope. Can’t wait to see him join the series! The Walking Dead will return to AMC on October 11.
