Tinkering with electronics is always fun, but with the, you get to draw the wires on paper — yes, really. It also includes a bunch of components, and TechnoBuffalo Deals has it for $49.99 shipped.
In the box, there is a pen filled with conductive silver ink, along with six modules for experimentation: a 9V battery holder, bi-LED lights, a SPST switch, a NPN transistor, and a 2-pin adapter. Rather than wiring up circuits, you simply put pen to paper (a stencil is provided), placing the modules along the route. To make this a learning experience, the kit comes with a workbook full of starter circuits to try, and you get extra resistors and capacitors to fit onto the adapter module. You don’t need any experience to get started with the suggested projects, and you should soon gain a firm grasp of how electronics work.
You can currently grab the Circuit Scribe set at 16% off the regular price with free shipping to the Continental US.
