We’re all still grieving the loss of P.T. and Silent Hills, but like a phoenix rising from the ashes, others have taken up Konami’s failure in order to inspire their own projects. The one which has gathered the most hype up until this point, Allison Road, is now seeking funding on Kickstarter to the tune of £250,000 (roughly $388,000).
So far, after a single day into its campaign, it had raised £41,292 with 1,177 backers and tiers ranging from £5 to £5,000.
Allison Road is, like most Kickstarter projects, a combination of several titles you already know. Developer Lilith sells the game as a horror experience with all the unsettling frights of P.T. and Gone Home, not to mention a few other classics like Silent Hill 2. Because that’s just how you sell games on Kickstarter these days. It’s everything you love, and yet, it’s something new!
It’s not P.T. and it doesn’t have Hideo Kojima’s name attached to it, but this project seems to have its heart in the right place. We’ve had a bit of a Kickstarter drought recently for indie games, so if you are feeling generous, be sure to check it out.
