iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus packaging revealed in new photos

Anxious to get your mitts on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus? You can’t—at least not for another week. All you can do is live vicariously through a handful of pictures that were posted on Friday, which reveal the final packaging of Apple’s new devices.

As units prepare to ship around the world, someone overseas decided to snap a few photos. You know, for posterity. The reason they’re notable is because Apple has ditched the box design of last year and has instead opted to include some artwork this time around.

Last year, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus boxes simply had an iPhone outline that protruded slightly from the box. Otherwise it was just stark white, with no real markings or branding. Just an Apple logo, and that’s about it.

This year Apple is making it clear that an iPhone is indeed inside the box. It’s pretty easy to tell which model you’re picking up. The space grey model, for example, features a photo of a black phone and a blue and red fish as the wallpaper.

Apple has already begun to charge buyers who preordered, with deliveries expected to arrive on Sept. 25, which is exactly a week away. You know the drill; we’ll have a ton of coverage of each device on launch day, including unboxings, impressions, and a ton of pictures for you to drool over.

For now, this is one last reminder that millions of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus units are out there somewhere, ready to find a home in your pocket. We got the briefest of looks at each new model earlier this month, which you can check out below.
