Nextbit Robin with Verizon support hits Kickstarter tomorrow

by Todd Haselton | September 17, 2015September 17, 2015 12:40 pm PST

Nextbit on Thursday announced that it will offer a CDMA version of the Nextbit Robin smartphone through Kickstarter beginning Friday, September 18.

Folks interested in the smartphone will be able to back the phone for as little as $299, provided they’re among the first 300 people to do so. Following that special, the phone will be priced at $349. Unfortunately, Nextbit offered no information on a Sprint model, and specifically said this is a “Verizon device for the U.S. only.”

Nextbit also announced that it’s kicking off a contest on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Pacific which will allow backers to recommend a new color choice. Once voting ends, backers will be able to vote among five of the top colors to choose what the next offering will be. So far, the Nexbit Robin will be available in midnight or mint, two already unique colors.

If you’re interested in backing the new CDMA version, be sure to hit the Kickstarter campaign (linked below) at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Friday, otherwise you might be stuck paying an additional $50.
