Fallout 4’s new S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video needs to be seen to be perceived

Bethesda is handily avoiding passing out screenshots and gameplay videos for Fallout 4 like candy so that as much of the game as possible can be fresh when it hits this fall. But they still need to drum up hype to get the incredible sales numbers they’re used to.

Instead of showing us the game itself, then, they’re reintroducing players to the world of Fallout and some of its basic mechanics with this series of mock educational film reels.

The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat system influences everything you can do in Fallout, from how much you can carry, how well you can sneak, and how well you can aim using the game’s auto-aiming VATS system.

We’ve seen Strength already, and now it’s time for Perception. The video is as humorously gory as the previous one, of course.

Fallout 4 hits PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 10.
