Star Wars Battlefront has a bundle with the new rage in collector’s swag, a mini-fridge

If you like shooting digital dudes and buying collectors editions, I hope you like keeping drinks cool in tiny, themed refrigerators, too. Because that’s apparently a thing now.

First was the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Juggernog Edition. Now Star Wars Battlefront is getting in on the action.

Available through Walmart, this pack runs $130 and comes with a fridge themed after Han Solo frozen in Carbonite from Star Wars episodes V and VI and includes the Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition, which runs $69.99 on its own, putting the fridge at another $60 to make that $130 price tag. Keep in mind that six-can fridges without Carbonite-encased smugglers run around $45.

The first time I saw the fridge as an extra, it was novel, but now I’m worried about all the appliances we’re going to start seeing. The theming on them is cool, but having to store and then dispose of an actual appliance has complications a silly doll does not. But then, maybe I want to “nuke” food in a Fallout-themed microwave. There’s still time, Bethesda.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the fronts of tiny fridges on November 17.
