Spotify Running launches on Android, helps you run to the beat

Spotify Running first launched for iOS back in the spring, and now it’s officially available to Android users, too. It’s a unique new part of your existing Spotify app that allows you to head out for a brisk walk, a jog, a run or a sprint with the right kind of music to keep you pushing with the beat.

Spotify Running takes a lot of things into consideration, including the pace of your run and your listening history, and then ties those in with various playlists┬áto, hopefully, provide you with the kind of music you’re looking for. There are also a variety of playlists called “Running Originals” curated by Spotify. They include “Burn” by Tiesto, Epic, which features “powerful cinematic music” and more.

I’m trying to get back into running myself, so maybe this is just what I need to keep going past the 1 mile mark. The update is “rolling out to Android users” starting Tuesday, so check the Google Play Store for it now.
