Samsung’s huge 18.4-inch Galaxy View tablet certified ahead of launch

Samsung is working on a very big tablet. Way bigger than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. According to reports from August, the tablet sports an 18.4-inch display and is currently code named Tahoe but may launch as the Galaxy View, a name Samsung has already confirmed for an upcoming tablet. Now the device has popped up with certification from the Bluetooth SIG, pushing it one step closer to launch.

According to data found by GforGames, the Tahoe was approved by the Bluetooth SIG on September 14 with the model number SM-T670. This very likely is the Galaxy View tablet that Samsung teased at the end of its IFA press conference, which you can see in the gallery above.

The device is expected to pack an Exynos 7580 processor, 32GB of storage, microSD cards support, 2GB of RAM and a large 5,700mAh battery. Samsung hasn’t provided any details on when it might launch, or what sort of special software might be available to really help push that 18.4-inch size.

Maybe we’ll find out soon.
