Rock Band 4’s complete soundtrack has been unveiled

Following the announcement of the last 13 songs, Rock Band 4‘s full 60 song soundtrack has been unveiled. The new list included “Follow you Down” by the Gin Blossoms, “That Smell” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and titles by Imagine Dragons, Grouplove (who is also responsible for the Bojack Horseman end song), and Mumford + Sons.

The track list for this game, listed below, isn’t as extensive as Guitar Hero Live‘s – partly because Activision has huge piles of cash while Harmonix, no longer partnered with MTV, has none of the licensing clout it once did. It does, however, as the company reminds us regularly, feature access to the Rock Band back catalog of 1,500 songs (which sadly does not include Rock Band 3, as the developer didn’t put a plan in place for an eventual sequel when they released what they expected to be the last title in the series).

The soundtrack is a mix of old and new, with lots of pop mixed in and not a whole lot of hard rock. It’s a mix that should provide something for everyone, but not too much for any one player unless they have very diverse (popular) tastes. The back catalog is a selling point all its own that offsets this somewhat short and disappointing list, but Guitar Hero Live definitely has the more impressive tracklist right now.

Rock Band 4 hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 6.
