Transformers: Devastation has received a new-ish trailer featuring the playable characters in the game. I say “new-ish” because the thing dropped last week. I totally missed it; but, after watching it this morning, I figured we should share it with you. The clip only has like 3,000 views, folks.
Transformers: Devastation is special in two regards. First, it’s being developed with the classic art style found in the 80s cartoons. Second, it’s being made by Platinum Games, the same all-star Japanese studio behind the likes of Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101 and Vanquish.
Those people know how to make wonderful action games, and it’s their hands I trust most in today’s gaming age. I’m really, really excited for this one, both from the perspective of a fan of games and a fan with tons of Transformers nostalgia.
The trailer shows off Optimus, Wheeljack, Sideswipe, Bumblebee and Grimlock in playable form. Transformers: Devastation will launch on October 6, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.
