Fallout 4’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat system highlighted in funny educational video series

If you’re going to make it in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 4, you’re going to need the right stuff. That all starts with knowing just how S.P.E.C.I.A.L. you are. That acronym is core to the Fallout series, as it stands in for the game’s seven attributes: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck.

To help vault-dwellers get ready to venture outside, Bethesda has started a video series about those seven attributes, beginning with Strength.

The video features Vault-Tec’s Vault Boy in all his adorableness, but put under the same stresses our characters will be in and around Boston this fall. We get to see a few of the weapons we’ll have access to, as well as some serious ultra-violence. If you’re not a big fan of cartoon gore, you may want to skip this one. But then, you’re probably not a Fallout fan in that case either.

The video is pretty funny and has me looking forward to seeing what follows.

Fallout 4 releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Nov. 10, with DLC and mods hitting in early 2016.
