Apple’s revamped Apple TV has a price, and it isn’t cheap. On stage in San Francisco on Wednesday, Apple said its fancy set-top box will start at $149 for the 32GB, and $199 for the 64GB model. That price will get customers the fancy new tvOS, touch remote, and App Store, which will support universal apps.
Apple says its new Apple TV is the “foundation for the future of TV,” which is a big statement considering the device does pretty much what other competing devices do. The big difference is the apps, and the support that will come from developers in the future. We’ll see just how good the Apple TV is when it launches in October.
