Konami warns of save deleting bug in Metal Gear Solid V, provides way to avoid it

Reports are coming in from upset gamers that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has a bug which is deleting save files and stopping the game from properly progressing. Konami has announced it is aware of the problems, and it has a temporary solution on how to avoid it while it whips up a patch.

It’s pretty simple on how to avoid the bug, just as long as you follow Konami’s instructions.

There is a possibility that the game stops progress if having Quiet as a buddy while playing “Mission 29” or “Mission 42”. This situation can be avoided by not using Quiet as a buddy while playing either “Mission 29” or “Mission 42”.

Simple enough; Mission 29 and Mission 42, no Quiet. Boom, got it.

The problem has been said to occur across all five platforms, so regardless of if you own the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC version of the game, the suggestion still remains.
