The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s first of two big expansions is barely a month off, CD Projekt Red has announced.

The expansion, titled ‘Hearts of Stone,’ is set to clock in with over 10 hours of new adventures, including new monsters, characters, and a new storyline. Even a new romance is available – presumably with the woman in the screenshot above, whose name is Shani. She’s appeared in previous Witcher games and stories, and the two have a history. The expansion also introduces a new mechanic called Runewords. Each Runeword, CD Projekt Red says, will impact a different aspect of in-game mechanics and will allow the player to experiment with various strategies and tactics.

Here’s CD Projekt Red’s official description for the storyline:

Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality. The expansion lets you choose your own way through an adventure that includes recruiting a crew of break-in artists, spending a night partying with a ghost and outsmarting the most bizarre creatures Geralt has ever faced.

The expansion will be getting a limited physical release as well, which includes a download code for the expansion, two physical decks of Gwent cards, a manual for Gwent, and two unique sets of cards, Monsters and Scoia’tael. If you’ve already purchased the expansion pass for the game, CD Projekt Red has set up a site at which you can sign up to order the physical Gwent cards as well.

The Witcher 3‘s Hearts of Stone expansion hits October 13 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
