BLU just unveiled what may be its best smartphone yet. The Florida company’s new Pure XL handset boasts flagship level specs for just $349 unlocked.
The device packs a massive 6-inch Quad HD display, a 3500mAh quick charging battery, a 24-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, 64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. The BLU Pure XL also offers MediaTek’s Helio X10 processor, which is becoming increasingly popular in high-end phones. Finally, there’s a fingerprint reader in back, which looks very similar to the layout of Google’s new Nexus phones based on the latest leaked photos.
“The BLU Pure XL is an industry flagship in every sense of the word, competing with any of the top tier devices available in the world today,” said BLU CEO Samuel Ohev-Zion. “Anyone will be hard pressed to find better technology period, including the extreme and powerful performance of the MediaTek Helio X10 processor found inside.”
BLU’s new phone also looks pretty nice. It packs an aluminum design with chamfered edges and a 9.6mm frame, which isn’t too thick for a 6-inch handset. You can pick between an all-gold model or a dark grey version with silver edges. The BLU Pure XL is available starting on September 29 from Amazon for $349. It comes unlocked and LTE ready on T-Mobile or AT&T.
There are a lot of great smartphones out there already for a similar price. Devices like the OnePlus 2 or the Moto X Pure Edition come to mind, as does LG’s rumored new Nexus 5. Now there’s one more handset to pick from.
