Monster Hunter Stores for the 3DS gets a pile of screenshots and art

Monster Hunter Stories is a new take on the Monster Hunter series. It’s not exactly like its predecessors, which aimed for, we supposed, a slightly more realistic look. Not that Monster Hunter is grounded in realism; no, it’s that Monster Hunter Stories looks far more fanciful and cartoonish.

All you have to do is take a look at the screenshots and art gallery that we have for you today for proof. The game looks like an awesome anime, and that’s a change for the franchise.

Monster Hunters Stories will tell a decidedly more fun story than the main games. It’s a bit of a lighter romp, as evidenced by the art style. Hopefully it’s as fun as it looks.

Also, hopefully we get it in the West. Capcom hasn’t confirmed this game for regions beyond Japan. They’ll get it in 2016. The company has a solid track record of localizing Monster Hunter titles, so lets hope that continues with this one.
