Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is now available at retail and on the Xbox Live and PlayStation Store marketplaces, announced publisher 505 Games today.

The game originally hit previous generation consoles and PC in 2013, and was one of my favorites that year; I still think about how I forgot to include it in my “best of” list that year, sometimes. Brothers tells the story of two – you guessed it – brothers trying to find a cure for their father who has fallen ill in the wake of their mother’s passing. The game uses the unique hook of having you control each of the two brothers at the same time, assigning each one to an analog stick.

Brothers ended up being a deeply moving game and the control scheme amplified the feelings the story caused.

Originally developed by Starbreeze Studios and then purchased from Starbreeze by 505, the game was ported to the current generation by The Workshop.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is $19.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and $14.99 on PC and previous generation consoles.
