Resident Evil Origins Collection announced for PS4 and Xbox One, new Wesker Mode available

Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster hasn’t even been released yet, and it is already part of a generically-labeled bundle! Jumping a bit ahead of ourselves, are we Capcom? You’re supposed to wait until AFTER it becomes a hit to do that.

The Resident Evil Origins Collection crams together Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster with the Resident Evil HD Remaster released earlier this year, which is still one of the best releases of 2015 by the way. Together, these games will retail for $39.99 and will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as a physical product.

Capcom also confirmed that Resident Evil 0 HD would be getting a stand-alone $19.99 release as well through the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Capcom released the Resident Evil HD Remaster at $19.99 earlier this year as well, and again, it’s one of the best gaming values of 2015.

And to top it all off, Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster will also feature a new “Wesker Mode” which will allow fans to play through the events of Resident Evil 0 for the first time as the series’ antagonist. He will be teamed up with S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers since Resident Evil 0 is a dual-character experience after all.

Resident Evil Origins Collection will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 19 as a physical release, and Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster will be available on the same day for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
