HTC confirmed the news with an invitation shared by its official Weibo account. The image doesn’t reveal much, but clearly shows the outline of a new smartphone. There’s also some Chinese text, which apparently translates to “superior handsomeness.” Considering HTC’s history of releasing beautiful devices we wouldn’t expect anything less.
The new phone is expected to pack a 10-core processor from MediaTek, 4GB of RAM and an improved camera capable of taking RAW-quality photos. We may also get a metal design with curved glass in back. The device is apparently set to launch in the U.S. with support from AT&T, though that might not be for another few months.
The rumored handset’s name is still a mystery, and Aero is likely just an internal codename. According to the typically reliable EvLeaks, it could be called the HTC One A9 when it official launches.

Whatever HTC ends up calling its new phone we should know the full story pretty soon. After all, Sept. 6 is just a few days away.
