Motorola unveiled three new smartphones earlier this month, but the company isn’t done yet. The “Motorola Bounce” is allegedly set to launch later this year with a shatterproof design and high-end hardware.

The leak, which includes a press render and a list of specs, hints at a pretty premium smartphone. The Motorola Bounce will allegedly offer a 5.43-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 810 chip, a 3760mAh battery, a 21-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, 32GB/64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. It should also run a near stock version of Android, which by December could easily be 6.0 Marshmallow.
The promise of a shatterproof smartphone is particularly interesting. It also reminds us of an earlier rumor claiming the upcoming DROID Turbo 2 would pack an “unbreakable display.” It’s possible the Motorola Bounce could be an international variant of the Verizon-exclusive DROID. Then again, these might just be two different devices with one awesome shared feature.
Either way, we’re pretty excited to check out Motorola’s shatterproof smartphone. It could be a few months before the Bounce arrives, though hopefully Verizon won’t wait as long to reveal the alleged DROID Turbo 2.
