Earlier this year we learned that Xiaomi was developing its own USB-C smartphone. Now a fresh leak appears to reveal a full list of specs for the device, which is appropriately enough called the Mi4c.
An alleged photo of the Mi4c’s packaging (via GizmoChina) reveals that the device will sport a reversible USB-C port. It appears to pack a Snapdragon 808 processor and a 3000mAh battery as well. Based on previous leaks we’re also expecting a 5-inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
Xiaomi is allegedly set to announce the new phone at the start of September, though the Chinese company isn’t expected to make an appearance at IFA 2015 this week. As for the price, the Mi4c could cost around 1,299 Yuan (roughly $200) off-contract.
That’s a pretty nice deal, and the promise of USB-C should be enough to win over some early adopters. Still, most diehard Xiaomi fans are likely still waiting for the Mi5. It’s been over a year since the flagship Mi4 was announced, so hopefully an official followup isn’t too far away. For now the Mi4c looks like a pretty sweet budget alternative.
