Swype 2.0 for Android gets new themes, Emoji keyboard and more

Swype, the popular keyboard application that’s available for iOS and Android, recently updated its Android application to version 2.0. The update delivers plenty of new features that should keep folks with Swype, and away from the bevy of competing options out there.

Swype 2.0 for Android delivers a new “Swype Store” with access to premium keyboard themes, including a new Star Trek theme that you can see in the gallery above. Additionally, Swype 2.0 offers quick access to an emoji keyboard — a welcome feature for folks like me who like to add in a smily face here and there — improved auto correction, support for Lao and Uzbek Latin languages, and fixes for bugs and crashing issues that had previously been reported by users.
