Xperia Z5 revealed in blurry new photo from Sony

The Xperia Z5 has been leaking pretty much non-stop for the past few weeks. Now Sony is getting in on the action with a blurry photo of the upcoming smartphone, which the company recently tweeted out from its UK account.

The image above is blurry for a few reasons. First, it hides the Xperia Z5’s final design, though it looks like Sony won’t deviate much from the industrial style it’s adopted over the past few years. Second, it gives the company an opportunity to tease a new phone with “greater focus,” suggesting the device will feature an improved camera.

Sony’s photo also appears to show Berlin’s famous Brandenburg Gate in the background. That seems like a pretty clear hint that the new phone will appear at IFA 2015 next month. The company is actually expected to reveal an entire family of new smartphones at the annual expo.

We’re expecting the Xperia Z5 to offer some pretty awesome hardware, including a 4500mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and a fingerprint reader built into the power button along the side of the device. The Z5 Compact will likely offer similar specs in a smaller body with a few possible downgrades. Meanwhile, the Z5 Ultra could be a phablet-sized device with even more power under the hood.

At this point the Xperia Z5 seems like a pretty sure bet for IFA 2015. We can’t wait to get our hands on the new device along with smaller and bigger variants.
