LG has been promising a new flagship phone for a while now, though we’re still not sure exactly what to expect. Now the company is promising to release the device before the end of the year, in addition to a few mid-range and entry-level models.
Speaking to the press and employees, LG CEO Joon-Ho Cho promised the mysterious device will arrive in Q4 2015. However, he also denied ever promising a “super premium phone.” That quote came from an ETNews report last month, though the source at the time was an anonymous LG official.
Previous reports have suggested the device in question could be the LG G Pro 3. The new phone will allegedly pack a massive 6-inch Quad HD display, a cutting edge Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 20.7-megapixel camera and a fingerprint reader. That sounds like a pretty premium handset to us, though these are just rumored specs for now.
LG’s new phone is still a pretty big mystery. We still don’t know when the device will get an official unveiling, though it could be a few more months before we get a look at the actual handset.
