Attack on Titan is coming to the PlayStation 4. It’s being developed by Koei Tecmo, and, hopefully, it’ll capture all of the high flying action and intense drama that made the first season of the show so absurdly popular almost overnight.
As the headline indicates, the shots you see above are for the PlayStation 4 version of Attack on Titan, surname to be announced. The game is also being made for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. It will feature a story that retells the anime, strategic battles required to take down titans and, of course, full movement around the massive 3D space.
That movement will be key to how good or bad this game is. Flying in on a titan in order to hit the weak spot on the back of its neck should require skill and finesse, but it should be easy enough to keep the game moving at a constant clip of fun. Anything in between will be a bit of a letdown.
We’ll see how the Attack on Titan game plays out when it launches for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. The title doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it’s supposedly due in North America and Europe sometime in early 2016.
