We’ve already seen a few shadowy photos of the rumored Xperia Z5 Compact. Now we’re getting a better look at the device thanks to a leaked promo shot obtained by Dutch site TechTastic.
The device looks pretty similar to recent Xperia Z models. It’s tough to gauge exactly how big it will be, though TechTastic suggests the new phone could measure 4.6 or 4.7 inches across. It may also offer a 720p resolution, a Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB of RAM and an upgraded camera sensor. Based on recent leaks we’re expecting a fingerprint reader and a standard microUSB port as well.
Alongside the Xperia Z5 Compact, Sony’s also likely to launch a flagship Z5 and a super-sized Z5 Ultra (or Z5 Plus). The Xperia Z5 could pack 4GB of RAM and a 4500mAh battery. Rumor has it the Z5 Ultra will offer an insanely sharp 4K display along with a massive screen to match.
Sony still hasn’t confirmed plans to launch any more smartphones this year. Then again, the company has a big event coming up next month at IFA 2015, which could be the perfect opportunity to unveil all or some of its new Z5 lineup. We’ll be covering the entire trade show live from Berlin, so hopefully we can get our hands on whatever Sony has to share.
