The new Moto 360 is already appearing in the wild

Motorola has already unveiled its awesome new smartphone lineup—Moto G, Moto X Play and Moto X Style—but where the heck is the sequel to the company’s Moto 360? Apparently on the streets of Chicago, which is where Motorola’s headquarters is located.

A number of spy shots of the supposed Moto 360 successor appear to show the new wearable being tested in the wild. We know it’s the new device because it sports a more traditional watch design, with the more standard style lugs to easily swap out watch bands. Also notice how the position of the button has been changed, ostensibly making it more comfortable to press.

That gold one is looking mighty fine.

Motorola has already teased the follow up to its beloved wearable, so we know it’s definitely coming. In addition to teasing the device in a recent video (which has since been deleted), we’ve also seen hints the smartwatch will come in two different sizes, similar to the Apple Watch. As for specs, we’re not really sure what to expect, though a recent document pointed to a 270mAh battery and 300mAh battery for the two sizes.

Although it was unveiled more than a year ago, the Moto 360 was released last September, which means we’re coming up on the device’s one-year anniversary. IFA in Berlin next month seems like the perfect time to announce an anticipated smartwatch like the Moto 360 2, so we should probably expect to see the device very soon.

Unless you’re one of the lucky few already testing the device in Chicago, that is.
