Samsung takes on Apple with a $1 Galaxy test drive

Samsung has been struggling to keep up with Apple in the premium smartphone market. Now the company has a new plan to win over iPhone fans with an offer to test drive one of its new handsets for just $1.

You can sign up right now and try out the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 edge Plus for 30 days without changing carriers or giving up your current smartphone. At the end of the trial you have the option of returning the device or buying it outright from Samsung. The only catch is that this is restricted to iPhone users, and you’ll need to sign up using your iPhone to qualify for the deal.

The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge are both pretty awesome smartphones. Samsung’s packed the new phones with high-end specs and a premium metal design. Both models pack a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, but only the new Edge features that beautiful sloping screen. Meanwhile, only the Note 5 offers the latest S Pen, with new software and an auto-eject feature.

Which device you pick really depends on whether you care more about that extra style or better productivity. But either way you’re getting a great device for 30 days for just $1, and that’s a pretty sweet deal.
