BlackBerry’s Android phones leak again, Venice tipped to launch in Nov.

BlackBerry may finally give into years of pressure and release an Android phone (or two) this fall. A fresh batch of leaks offer us a new look at the upcoming lineup, along with possible release plans for one of these rumored devices.

First up is the alleged BlackBerry Venice, which is expected to sport a touchscreen display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It also appears to run Android Lollipop along with some extra BlackBerry software. The device will allegedly launch in November on all four major U.S. carriers, though we could get an official look even sooner.

There’s also an Android-powered BlackBerry Passport. We still don’t know what to call this handset, though we’ve seen it leak out a few times already. Just like the original Passport this model packs a square display and a physical keyboard. The software looks like a near stock version of Android, though with a few small tweaks from BlackBerry.

There’s no word on when this Passport variant will arrive, though perhaps we’ll see both devices unveiled next month at IFA in Berlin. We’re pretty excited at the prospect of an Android phone with BlackBerry hardware, though whether that’s enough to make the company relevant again is still up for debate.
