Apple releases OS X El Capitan beta 7

by Brandon Russell | August 19, 2015

Apple on Wednesday rolled out beta 7 of OS X El Capitan, edging the OS much closer to a final release. You should be able to snag it from the Mac App Store; it’s unclear what, if anything, has been added in the newest beta. Chances are Apple is simply using the latest release to tidy up before a consumer rollout in September.

Apple also released the El Capitan public beta 5, which was prematurely rolled out yesterday. A few weeks back, Apple released the latest beta for iOS 9, though it only introduced a few minor changes. Both are quickly approaching completion after having been announced in June. We’ll probably hear an exact release date at Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus event in September.

Below is a quick hands on of El Capitan we did back in June.
