Moto 360 2 to come in small and large sizes, filing shows

Last week the new Moto 360 turned up in a video from Motorola, offering a first look at the relatively unchanged second-generation smartwatch. Now a new set of filings filed with Anatel, Brazil’s telecommunications agency, may reveal one way the Moto 360 2 could be an upgrade over the original model.

Two separate Anatel filings reveal plans for a 360S and 360L from Motorola. They suggest the device could come in small and large options, unlike the one size fits all approach Motorola took with the original Moto 360. This could be particularly good news for anyone who felt the original smartwatch was too big and bulky.

The new documents also reveal the Moto 360S will feature a 270mAh battery (compared to the original watch’s 300mAh battery), while the 360L could pack an even bigger 375mAh power pack. Both devices also offer Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi. Unfortunately that’s all the filings reveal, though we may not have to wait much longer for an official look at the Moto 360 2.

Motorola is expected to reveal the new smartwatch (or smartwatches) in the near future. We might even see them unveiled early next month at the IFA expo in Berlin. We’ll be on the ground covering the entire show, though check back soon in case the new Moto 360 leaks out again first.
