Following the announcement of Android Marshmallow, Google on Monday released Developer Preview 3 images for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. This should be pretty close to what the general public gets when the final build is released this fall.
Users hoping to get their hands on the newest developer preview can either flash the device system images now, or simply wait for an Over-the-Air (OTA) update, which Google says will begin rolling out over the next couple of days. (We’re impatient, so we’re just going to flash the images now so we can start toying around with the third developer preview.)
Google says the newest preview only introduces minor API updates, but that will only mean something to developers. We’ll be messing around with the latest update to see if things like Now on Tap are there to play around with, along with any other features that Google didn’t talk about publicly.
