Techland’s first person zombie parkour title Dying Light is doing pretty well. So well that the team is already talking, albeit in vague terms, about a sequel.

Dying Light has sold 5 million copies so far, said producer Tymon Smektala in an interview with Videogamer, making it one of the top 10 best-selling games in the first half of this year. The team is currently working on a new expansion called The Followingbut they’re also in early planning stages for an eventual sequel.

“We have lots of very ambitious ideas, so first we need to check if these ideas are even doable with the tech that the current consoles provide. We also need to check if our concepts are really as good as we think they are, so we need to prototype things,” Smektala said.

While I had some issues with Dying Light, I enjoyed the experience overall and I’m looking forward to seeing what the sequel brings to the table.
