Pandora’s Tower is a Wii game that many might have missed the first time around. The JRPG was a product touted by Operation Rainfall, which demanded it get localized into English, and the game wound up being the final title of value and notoriety for Nintendo’s fading console.
Localizer XSEED and Nintendo have now teamed up to give it a second chance with a release on the Wii U’s eShop. The game will be available Friday, Aug. 13, and it will support the Wii U GamePad as well as the classic controller.
The best way to control the game is with a Wii Remote, though, which employs many movements for its actions. I wouldn’t consider Pandora’s Tower to be a “great” game, but this digital re-release definitely shines a light on the Wii’s understated JRPG library.
If it is a success, maybe we’ll see more worthy games like The Last Story or even Xenoblade Chronicles follow in its path. Be sure to check it out.
