After unveiling its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Samsung left us with a teaser for its upcoming circular Gear S2, which we’ll see more of early next month. But you don’t have to wait that long to get a clear look at the wearable, which showed up in a fashion-inspired spread marketing Samsung’s new devices. Among shots of its handsets, the Gear S2 makes a brief cameo, giving us an idea of what the wearable will look like on the wrist.
One thing’s for sure: the Gear S2 is undeniably beautiful, and looks more like a traditional timepiece than the smartwatches we’ve seen in the past. It most closely matches the LG Watch Urbane, which sports a round design and metal frame. That device is a little heftier than we’d like, though it’s hard to tell how the Gear S2 compares.
The spread also gives us a small look at the bands that Samsung might introduce alongside the Gear S2; the ones worn by the models look like a silicone material, which is popular among wearables and activity trackers. I imagine there will also be more premium options when the smartwatch actually launches.
We’ll know more when IFA kicks off in Berlin next month, so until then have a look at the photos above.
