Here’s Overwatch’s Lúcio in 7 minutes of new gameplay

Another character was recently added to the roster of playable heroes in Overwatch, Blizzard’s upcoming class-based shooter. His name is Lúcio, and he has a musical-themed persona and weapon.

Lúcio appears to be an offensive support type character, offering heals to his teammates or speed boosts. His special gives allies a temporary sonic shield, too.

The gameplay you see above is a seven minute slice of Lúcio in action. He was revealed last week at gamescom 2015, so it’s great to see such a lengthy clip so soon.

This is also my first time seeing this terminal style map, and it actually looks pretty darn awesome. Granted, I haven’t watched every single Overwatch clip that’s released, so this might not be new. Still, I think it’s pretty neat.

Overwatch still doesn’t have a release date. We do know that a beta will arrive before this year’s out. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
