Android Experiments site highlights weird new apps

Google has been shining a light on the most creative Chrome experiments for a while now. Moving forward, it looks like the company will also do the same for Android and Android Wear with a brand new website.

Android Experiments highlights some of the more creative apps out there. We’ve heard of a few of these here before, like Muzei, which changes your wallpaper to a different famous piece of art each day. For the most part though, these are all new to us.

There’s Landmarker, which uses your phone’s GPS to show nearby points of interest with a clean and minimalist design. There’s also Selfie X Selfie, which uses the phone’s front facing camera to create a kaleidoscope style image. You’ll also find bizarre mobile games, cool 3D drawing apps and more.

The site offers up plenty of Android Wear apps as well, though most seem to focus on the watch face. Coubertin Rings tracks your daily steps with a colorful bouncing screen saver, while Gaze Effect fills your watch face with creepy blinking eyes. Another app, called Bouncing Isaac creates colorful patterns using geometric shapes and actual physics.

There’s a ton to explore, and most of these apps seem to be available on Google Play for free. Hit the source link below to check out Android Experiments for yourself.
