The Huawei Watch made its official debut six months ago at Mobile World Congress. You still can’t buy the Android Wear device, but it looks like the company may finally be ready to release its beautiful smartwatch.
The device recently popped up on Huawei’s U.S. website. The new webpage doesn’t reveal much, but it does promise that the smartwatch is “right around the corner.” The design also looks slightly different than we remember. There’s a new black ring around the metal bezel, though we’re looking at a render rather than an actual photo.
The Huawei Watch is set to pack a 1.4-inch 400 x 400-pixel display with a stainless steel frame. It also features a sapphire crystal cover, a heart rate sensor and a barometer. The price is still a mystery. Earlier this year we spoke to British retailer Mobile Fun, who claimed the device would cost £300 in silver or black and £350 in gold. However, it’s possible that price could have changed over the past few months.
You can sign up for updates on the Huawei Watch U.S. launch, and we’ll have all the latest on the new smartwatch.
