The first television trailer for what should be the definitive Steve Jobs biopic hit YouTube Thursday night. The short video offers a fresh look at the movie, which will focus on a few iconic Apple product reveals along with Jobs’s career and personal life.
We see Jobs teach a girl, presumably his daughter Lisa, how to use a computer mouse. A second later he loudly denies having a daughter, suggesting that relationship will play a big part in the movie. There’s also a showdown with Steve Wozniak, and a scene showing the moment when Jobs was booted from his own company. In between all that drama we’ll also get to relive some great Apple events. We see audience members clapping in unison and even doing the wave.
Visually the movie looks beautiful, at least based on the shots included in this trailer. It also features a pretty impressive cast, with Michael Fassbender in the title role. We’ll also see Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, and Jeff Daniels as John Sculley.
Steve Jobs is heading to theaters on October 9, though it’s set to debut a week earlier at the New York Film Festival.
