Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge price cuts begin to hit U.S.

Samsung started to drop the price of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in global markets, following lackluster sales that failed to meet the company’s expectations. Now those savings are starting to hit the United States beginning with T-Mobile. While it’s just a start, we expect other carriers to follow suit soon.

T-Mobile is offering discounts on all three Galaxy S6 models, including the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB options. You’ll save $100 off of the price of the first two, bringing the prices down to $578 and $660, respectively. It’s shaving $200 off of the 128GB model, now priced at $660 also — so go ahead and just grab the option with 128GB of storage since it costs the same as the 64GB model. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is also discounted with similar savings, starting at $680 for 32GB of storage (you pay the extra $100 premium for the Edge design) and $760 for the 128GB model.

Pretty awesome savings and, again, we suspect other carriers will start to follow suit.
