Dark Souls, Enslaved, PAC-MAN highlight an excellent Humble Bundle from Bandai Namco

Enslaved The Journey West (5)

Bandai Namco is coming out swinging with its newest Humble Bundle, offering some of its best hits from the past few years.

No question about it, the biggest of the bunch is Dark Souls, which you’ll need to pay the $10 tier to get. I know most of you already have Dark Souls in some capacity, but this DRM-free one is reportedly the easiest to mod. That might be worth something.

Following it, the best game here is PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+, the absolute best Namco developed PAC-MAN game since… well, the original PAC-MAN. (Hint: Ms. PAC-MAN was developed by Midway, PAC-MAN Vs. was Nintendo). It’s also in the bottom tier, so you won’t have to pay that much for it.

I haven’t played the other games in the bottom tier: Platformines and DeadCore.

The Average Price tier, sitting at $6.12 as of writing, houses the solid Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, a colorful post-apocalyptic retelling of  Journey to the West from Ninja Theory. It has a lot of fans, but didn’t have much lasting power on the market.

I’m also a big fan of the Ace Combat games, but Assault Horizon is one I have not played. It has a reputation of sacrificing the series’ freedom of flight and grandiose storytelling for cheap Call of Duty thrills and heavily scripted dogfights.

That might be wrong though, and Humble Bundle is the place to test that.
