Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked announced – Survival adventure hits the high seas

by Joey Davidson | August 3, 2015

Don’t Starve is getting a new expansion this fall, and it’s coming from more than just the fine folks at Klei Entertainment.

The game that tasks you with surviving a harsh world of oddities and terrifying monsters is bound to set sail. Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked is the name, and it will feature single player content.

It’s being developed by both Klei and Capybara Games. Capy, if you don’t know, is responsible for Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP, Super Time Force and the upcoming Below. I’m even more excited for this project thanks to their involvement.

Here’s what Klei writes about the Shripwrecked expansion in their announcement.

With new playable characters, biomes, creatures and seasonal effects; Wilson and the whole Don’t Starve cast of characters embark on a sea-bound journey of exploration, adaptation and of course, starvation.

Yes. Yes. And Yes.

This expansion has only been announced for the PC, Mac and Linux platforms so far, and it’s coming this fall. Stay tuned for more.
