The first trailer for the Deadpool trailer—get it? trailer for a trailer?—is out, and it’s absolutely perfect. If you had any concern this project wasn’t going to work, you can put those concerns to bed. I can’t believe this is actually happening.

Those involved with the project have long promised the upcoming film would faithfully represent the comic character people know and love. And after seeing today’s teaser, there’s no doubt in my mind this will be one of the most vulgar, offensive, entertaining movies of 2016. Ryan Reynolds nails the role—at least based on the 15 seconds he’s onscreen—and is the perfect amount of sarcastic, charming and crude; he’s Deadpool. He should just legally change his name.

The actual trailer for the movie is set to drop tomorrow—the week Fantastic Four hits theaters, which is no coincidence by the way. It probably won’t be quite as crazy as what was shown off at Comic-Con, but hopefully it doesn’t hold back in its quest to offend every last human. Even seeing Deadpool sitting in front of a fireplace and failing to put a pipe in his mouth is hilarious. Imagine an entire movie of that, but amplified by 100 and with more violence than Total Recall.

See if you can catch the nice jab Deadpool makes at 20th Century Fox, which failed miserably the first time it put the character on film. Deadpool is set for a Feb. 12, 2016 release.
