Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 announced by Koei Tecmo, Japan and Asian markets only

Dead or alive Xtreme

Koei Tecmo and development studio Team Ninja have just confirmed the creation of a brand new Dead or Alive Xtreme game. Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi made the announcement at a Dead or Alive festival over the weekend with one additional and unfortunate piece of news.

Thanks for attending and for watching DOA Festival today. MC Kwiggle (USA-Christie) won the exhibition match and Teru Rock (輝Rock Japan-Leifang) fought intensely with him. We announced DOAX3 (Working Title) today, but it will be made exclusively for Japan and Asian market. We announced many things today about new stage, patch update, Halloween costumes etc… We will keep you posted

Unfortunately, it seems like Koei Tecmo has no interest in bringing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to the Western market. The sub-series certainly isn’t a multi-million seller, but fans often get a kick out of its cheeky sense of humor and of course its… uhhh… character models.

For those who don’t know, the Dead of Alive Xtreme games take the girls of the Dead or Alive fighting series and sends them packing to tropical islands with a huge wardrobe of bikinis. The first game on the Xbox started off with players just playing volleyball, but its sequel added plenty of other beach party games.

Even if the game is not brought to the Western market, it is simple enough to grasp and get around the language barrier. Plus, it will most likely be for the PlayStation 4 and maybe Xbox One, so importing the region-free game should be no problem.

More on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 when Koei Tecmo makes it available.
