Samsung has confirmed that it will be providing a Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 3 Neo owners in the U.K. The release is expected to bring significant performance improvements alongside the usual list of Lollipop features.
“We can confirm that the Note 3 Neo will be moving to lollipop,” Samsung U.K. told one customer on Twitter. The company added that it is “unable to give a time scale,” but will let fans know as soon as a date is set.
Lollipop has already been confirmed for Note 3 Neo handsets in France and the Netherlands, but Samsung has been strangely quiet about its release in other markets up until now. If the South Korean company is launching the software in one EU market, however, it will likely arrive in most others, too.
In addition to the standard set of Lollipop features — such as lock screen notifications, Smart Lock, and greater control over alerts– this update is expected to greatly improve performance on the Note 3 Neo, which is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5260 processor and 2GB of RAM.
