ZombiU was one of the most competent games from the Wii U’s launch, and it would make sense that everyone would want a chance to play it a full three years later. Right? Well, now everyone gets to. Ubisoft has announced that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Naturally, the title must be changed to accommodate for the fact that there is no “U” at the end of games for those platforms. The title has been changed to just Zombi, although, now that I think about it, why doesn’t Ubisoft just retrospectively admit that the “U” stood for “Ubisoft” all along?
The game has been given a bit of an overhaul in the graphics department, but it will only be available through digital methods on Steam, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live. No word on how Ubisoft will accommodate for the touch screen’s important functions. Ubisoft stated that the mini-map will be moved to the screen, but it also tried to minimize the clutter on the game’s HUD.
The multiplayer elements have also been scrapped because of how dependent they were on the Wii U’s gamepad screen, but new melee weapons and a flashlight have been added to the arsenal.
Zombi does not have a release date yet.
