Resident Evil 2

Are you a Resident Evil fan with opinions? Capcom wants to hear from you.

Capcom released the original Resident Evil‘s remake from the early 2000s again this year in HD remastered form. That’s a confusing line to follow for those on the outside looking in, I’m sure, but that’s what happened. Fans were happy to see Resident Evil HD Remaster on their current platforms of choice, and it signals the potential return to glory for the publisher as far as this iconic series goes.

Now, Capcom is eyeing up an HD remaster of Resident Evil 2. They haven’t announced anything specific yet, but they have done something interesting by turning to fans for “honest and frank” feedback before they get the ball rolling.

The company has posted a request for opinions on Facebook. Here’s a little selection from the text.

Enthusiasm for a Resident Evil 2 Remake is something we’ve been hearing from you over the years, and has drawn some recent attention in the media.

However, as the team owns the RE brand, we’re not certain how we feel about this approach, and would like to ask your honest and frank opinion about the “Resident Evil 2 Remake” and what the brand identity is supposed to be about?

As of drafting this post, there are more than 6,670 comments and 15,000 shares. Fans seem to be responding. You can, too, if you hit the link in the source below.
