OnePlus 2 vs. Galaxy S6 spec shootout — Affordable takes on expensive

by Todd Haselton | July 27, 2015July 27, 2015 8:22 pm PDT

OnePlus just unveiled the OnePlus 2, a new flagship smartphone that’s going to start at just $329 and scale up — with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM — to just $389. That’s a pretty compelling price, especially when you consider the Galaxy S6 costs a heck of a lot more than that. But how do the two phones stack up? Well, for one, you’re getting what you pay for with the Galaxy S6.

The OnePlus 2 is a great device on paper, with a Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, a fingerprint reader and more. However, the Galaxy S6 steps things up a notch with a Quad HD display, NFC, an Exynos processor that has so far proven to be quite impressive, a 16-megapixel camera that’s among the best on the market and more. It does, however, offer a smaller 2,550mAh battery, much smaller than the 3,300mAh battery in the OnePlus 2.
